Sorry Jo, you were asking for this when ya "outed" Dumbledore.  [link] I wonder if the man had any say in this decision?I dunno, was there any REASON to announce him gay, the way he was, especially at that point in time?  Wasn't he cool already, and well rounded? Did he NEED to be homosexual? Could it be for...1) Publicity and money? No way, she's got enough of that! 2) Shock value? Like uber conservatives don't have enough against the hippy wizards already, amirite? 3) Fanfiction has seeped into her brain? This one is plausible. VERY plausible. :3 4) Character development? Nothing says characterization to me like waiting until the series is over with to slap on a sexual orientation like it was a bumper sticker. "OH BUT BOOTER GELLERT WAS HIS GREAT LOVE TRAGEDY!!1" you say. Yeah...I suppose a betrayal of a close male friendship isn't enough, it's gotta be twu luv instead. But didn't we get enough love angst out of Snape, lol? J/K Well, whatever her reason, now Gandalf the Ghey will have someone to have WYLDE BEARD SECKS with.  |
