Description
Given what we've seen in other stories now that the Avatarverse has been expanded upon more, it might be less that Aang wasn't actively trying to help her and more a problem on Korra's end. Aang was raised as a monk, and thus was very receptive to the spiritual side of being an Avatar, while Korra, even though she managed to connect with Aang eventually, still struggles with it in comparison to the bending side. (SPOILERS AHEAD) We see this sort of thing in other stories now, with the Kyoshi novels having Kuruk trying to contact Kyoshi but she has a mental block in terms of connecting with him. And Yangchen, also an Air Nomad, is so spiritually connected to her Avatar spirit she can actively remember memories from her past lives without communing with past Avatars (for better and worse)
