Isaia's turning into another year older! It won't be long before she's hollerin' at the young'uns about the "Old Days" of Avatar....

Isaia: Why, in my day, we had to wait TWO months just for a new episode. I seen a lot of hard times, I have. Weathered the "The Fortuneteller" shipping wars of '05 and the "Tales of Ba Sing Se" angry fandom storm of '06....And we hardly had any fanfics back in the day....nowadays you can hardly turn around without tripping over a fanfic about Zuko's lost bride or whatever....eeyup....

Newbies: Uh-huh.

Isaia: And ya had to walk FIFTEEN MILES, uphill, in the snow, if you wanted Avatar merchandise! My god, when the cards first came out---

Newbies: ALRIGHT ALREADY!!! Just tell us about the Zutara!

And you couldn't turn your head without having to duck under a shipping war.... a fence-sitting girl couldn't get any peace those days...

I consider myself to be one of the 'oldies,' (despite having come in around episode 2:10) due to the fact that I kept getting denied episodes due to unannounced changes of schedual (where they showed Spongebob instead... I liked Spongebob before they RUINED AVATAR WITH IT. I haz teh angst lulz) and them showing other episodes instead (it took me like five supposed showings of 'the Blind Bandit' before it was actually on) and all kinds of crap. I got the uphill part at any rate.

Haha. I am having way too much fun with this. I'll stop now ^^

ACK CUTE AND FUNNY! I've definately heard the fifteen miles in the snow bit. My grands always say that and say "Why the snow was taller then we were and we had to walk fifeteen miles to school each day!" I'd be all like... "The snow was that tall? T_T" And they'd be like. "Yup, we didn't have the technology we did now. We had to shovel it!"

Oh and don't get started on the hole in the back yard in Maine... they had no electricity back than and they had to go to the bathroom in the freezing of winter in the middle of the woods in a hole in the ground. Eck.
