I was asked to create a banner for the Avatar Fanart LiveJournal Community (JOIN!), and I thought, "Hurrr de hurrr, I would be really cool if I did the cast in a giant group shot n' all..."
Well, after working on it (and putting it off due to disgust and Bumi fansketches) for a week or two, I finally finished it. And, oh LORDY, I do not like it. I'm proud of it, sure, it's my most demanding fanart to date, but there are so many aspects that make me cringe.  Katara and Momo in general. The entire upper left corner. Jet turned out so horrific I had to go through major Photoshop reconstructive surgery just to fix him to look decent. About the only things I like are Aang's wind, Bumi, Iroh's face, Sokka's classic "I don't want to be here" expression, and Zuko's eyebrow. It *is* a nice eyebrow.  Well, I hope the Avatar Fanart LJ Community like it anyway. It was a lot harder work than I expected.  |

Katara's picture makes me cringe too. The lower half of her face is WAY too long and angular! Makes her look like a guy! BLAH!
Not sure why Appa's almost microscopic in this picture...
The other characters look O.K. except for General Iroh, who is HILARIOUS and whose essence you have completely captured!
