I always thought it was strange that Ursa simply dissapeared without a trace after she assasinated Lord Azulon. No execution. No torture. No public outrage. She was just...quietly spirited away. Especially when we consider the magnitude of her crime, and how completely unforgiving and merciless Ozai is against his own family. Even if it was a gesture of gratitude for helping him take the throne, that's unusually generous of Ozai.
EDIT: I'm hearing a lot of folks say death by poison, not stabbing. What do you think? Think I should alter this puppy to fit that? Thoughts?
Played with vertical orientation a little. Vertical comics are fun. Comic is done in low key, with exception to the eyes which are done in highter keys to draw attention.
Woah, very nice .. ! Yeah, I can see your point. After all, Ozai is not just "pure evil". I think he would've acted that way.

Awesome comic. I really want to know what happened to her.

oooor... deep down, in his own twisted way, ozai still loved his wife. :3 or, more likely, the regicide filled up the quota for the nick censors regarding parricide.

I like to think that somewhere in his dark twisted heart, Ozai actually loves Ursa. More than he's ever loved anyone. And really, she makes the ultimate sacrifice to secure him the thing he wanted most. Even the evilest of men can't ignore that kind of gesture (even though she only did it to save Zuko).
Dagger to the heart is pretty dramatic. I like to think of Ursa poisoning Azulon and having a nice long apologetic chat with him while he dies.

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...
It's about learning to dance in the rain...
You can really see the resembelence between Ursa and Azula in this.
